Understanding Your Analyze Report: S.M.A.R.T Score, Insights, and How to Use Them
When you receive an Analyze report, you get more than raw numbers—you get a structured view of performance, a S.M.A.R.T score, and actionable recommendations. This guide walks you through each section so you know exactly what to look for and how to use it.
What's Inside Your Report
Every Analyze report includes the same core sections, regardless of platform (Instagram, YouTube, or TikTok):
Profile overview: Followers/subscribers, bio, post/video count, and similar metrics
Engagement metrics: Likes, comments, views (YouTube/TikTok), and engagement rate
Content performance: Best- and worst-performing posts, latest posts, posting frequency
Insights and recommendations: Tailored suggestions based on your results
S.M.A.R.T score: A structured overall score and grade
S.M.A.R.T goals: Personalized goals to improve performance
Understanding the S.M.A.R.T Score
The S.M.A.R.T score summarizes overall performance in one place. It includes:
Overall Score and Grade
The overall score is a number from 0 to 100. It maps to a grade:
Excellent: Top-tier performance relative to benchmarks
Good: Solid performance, room to optimize
Fair: Average—clear opportunities to improve
Poor: Below benchmarks—focus on fundamentals
Grades are based on industry benchmarks that vary by platform and account size—so a "Good" on a large account is not the same as "Good" on a micro account.
Score Breakdown
The S.M.A.R.T score breaks down into four areas:
Engagement score: How your engagement rate compares to benchmarks for your size and platform
Content score: Quality and performance of your content (e.g., best vs. worst posts, averages)
Consistency score: Posting frequency and regularity
Growth score: Signals of growth potential (e.g., follower count, trend)
Seeing which area is strongest or weakest helps you prioritize what to work on first.
Benchmarks
The report shows how you compare to benchmarks:
Engagement rate: Your rate vs. benchmark for your niche/size—Above, At, or Below
Posting frequency: Your posts per week vs. recommended minimum, optimal, and maximum
Benchmarks differ by platform. Instagram uses follower-based engagement; YouTube and TikTok use views-based engagement. The report applies the right benchmark for the platform you analyzed.
Profile Overview and Engagement Metrics
The top of the report summarizes the account: followers/subscribers, bio, post/video count, and similar data. Below that, engagement metrics show likes, comments, views (where applicable), and engagement rate.
Remember: engagement rate formula depends on platform—Instagram uses followers; YouTube and TikTok use views. Your report uses the correct formula for the platform you chose.
Content Performance: Best, Worst, and Latest
This section highlights:
Best-performing posts: Top posts by engagement—use these to spot patterns (format, topic, timing)
Worst-performing posts: Lowest engagement—learn what to avoid or improve
Latest posts: Most recent content and how it's performing
Posting frequency: Posts per week—compared to benchmarks in the S.M.A.R.T section
Use this to refine content mix, format, and posting schedule.
Insights and Recommendations
The report includes tailored recommendations, such as:
Engagement-rate feedback (above/below/average for your platform)
Posting-frequency suggestions (e.g., post more or maintain consistency)
Content-type tips (e.g., more video, better thumbnails, use of hashtags)
Optimal posting times (general guidance; exact times depend on your audience data)
These are starting points—apply them in line with your niche and goals.
S.M.A.R.T Goals
Beyond the score, the report suggests S.M.A.R.T goals—specific, measurable, actionable targets based on your current performance and benchmarks. Use them to set priorities (e.g., "Increase posting frequency to 4 posts per week" or "Improve engagement rate to match benchmark").
How to Use the Report
Whether you're a creator or a brand:
Creators: Focus on the weakest score area and the top 2–3 recommendations. Use best-performing posts as a template; improve or reduce what aligns with worst-performing content.
Brands: Use the S.M.A.R.T score and grade for a quick read on quality. Use engagement and content sections to assess fit and authenticity.
Re-run the analysis over time to track progress and see how changes in content or frequency affect your score and benchmarks.
